CartWatch Drip Integration
Automatically unsubscribe flagged bot subscribers from all mailings in Drip, so fake checkouts stop polluting your campaigns, workflows and deliverability.
What the integration does
CartWatch scores every Shopify checkout for bot behavior. With Drip connected and auto-suppression enabled, each flagged email address that exists in your Drip account is:
- Unsubscribed from all mailings — the subscriber stops receiving campaigns, broadcasts and workflow emails.
- Tagged
CartWatch: bot— so you can always see which unsubscribes CartWatch performed, and segment them in Drip.
If a flagged checkout is later updated and scores below the threshold, CartWatch automatically reactivates the subscriber in Drip.
Connecting
- Install CartWatch from the Shopify App Store if you haven't already.
- Open Settings in CartWatch.
- In the Drip Integration card, click Connect Drip.
- You'll be taken to Drip to sign in and approve access. CartWatch then connects to your Drip account automatically.
Managing the integration
All Drip-specific settings live in the Drip Integration card in CartWatch Settings:
- Auto-suppress bots in Drip — toggle whether flagged checkouts are unsubscribed automatically.
- Disconnect Drip — deletes the stored credentials so CartWatch stops touching your account. You can reconnect at any time.
Drip does not provide a way for apps to revoke their own access, so to remove CartWatch from the Drip side as well, go to your Drip account’s authorized-applications settings and remove it there.
Troubleshooting
- “Drip permissions were declined” — the authorization was cancelled before approval. Click Try connecting again in Settings and approve access.
- A subscriber wasn't unsubscribed — suppression applies only to checkouts CartWatch flags as bots after Drip is connected, and only once the subscriber actually exists in your Drip account. If your Shopify store syncs subscribers to Drip on a delay, CartWatch keeps retrying for 24 hours until they appear.
- A restored subscriber isn't back in a workflow — when someone is unsubscribed from an email series, Drip removes their consent for that series. Reactivation restores their overall active status, but Drip requires fresh consent before they can re-enter an email series.
